Day 1 Auckland - Watomo Caves - Rotorua Journey south to the farms of the Waikato. Follow the Waikato River, New Zealand’s longest, to Hamilton before continuing on to the Waitomo Caves. Visit the Glow Worm Caves with their millions of fairy lights (Included). Reboarding the coach traverse the Mamaku Ranges before descending to Lake Rotorua and the City. On arrival in Rotorua visit the Agrodome where the stars of the show are nearly all sheep. Then relax amongst native bush and crystal clear pools teaming with Brown and Rainbow trout. Complete the day with a visit to geysers steaming pools and boiling mud. This evening we recommend you experience a Maori Hangi and Concert. Day 2 Rotorua - Taupo - Auckland Travel through some of the world's
largest man made forests and view the geo-thermal power stations
to arrive Lake Taupo. On arrival your half day sightseeing tour
includes Craters of teh Moon geo-thermal park, Huka Falls, Aratiatia
Rapids, Wairakei Geothermal Park and lake-side attractions. The
return route to Auckland travels again via the central North Island
pine forests. Pass through the logging towns o fot eh Tokoroa, Putararu,
Tirau and the Waikato countryside to Hamilton. Retrace the route
along the banks of the Waikato River to Auckland. Arrive approximately
6.30pm |
