Day 1 Auckland - Whitianga
Depart 8:00 am.
Drive south to the rich farmland of
the Waikato Change coaches and hug the Firth of Thames before crossing
the bush clad peaks of the Coromandel Peninsula to Whitianga and
its expansive golden beaches. The afternoon will be free. Fishing,
swimming with Dolphins, beach and bush walks, a craft trail or relaxing
on one of the beautiful beaches and just some of the options available.
Day 2 Whitianga
Join the Hot Water Connection for a
half day sightseeing. Highlights include: a visit to the beautiful
Hot Water Beach with its natural thermal springs - the chance exists
to dig your own natural spa pool at the waters edge, Shakespeare
Cliff with its awesome seascapes and Captain Cooks landing
place at the Purangi River. The departure of the tour is governed
by the tide, details will be advised on confirmation.
Day 3 Whitianga - Rotorua
Farewell the Cormandel as you retrace
your travels back to Thames and Ngatea. Changing coaches its on
to Waihi home of the Martha gold mine. Follow the coastline through
the Kiwi Fruit producing regions to reach Tauranga. Pass Te Pukes
giant kiwi fruit and cross the Ohau Channel, between lakes Rotorua
and Rotoiti, to arrive in Rotorua.
Day 4 Rotorua
This mornings half day tour first
visits geysers, steaming pools and boiling mud. The excitement continues
at the Agrodome where the stars of the show are nearly all sheep.
After learning of New Zealand farming heritage relax amongst the
native bush and crystal clear pools teaming with Brown and Rainbow
trout. The afternoon is free.
Day 5 Rotorua - Auckland
Departing Rotorua again traverse the
Mamaku ranges. Cross the rich Waikato farmland to arrive at the
Waitomo Caves. Visit the Glow Worm Caves with their millions of
fairy lights (Included). Reboarding the coach continue onto Hamilton
before following the Waikato River to reach Auckland. Arrive approximately
4.50pm.

Day 5 Rotorua - Wellington
Travel south through man-made forests
and view the geothermal power stations. Round Lake Taupo to Turangi.
Pass below the mighty volcanic peaks of Tongariro National Park.
Descending to the Manawatu Plains journey through the market garden
towns of Levin and Otaki. Kapiti Island Bird sanctuary preludes
Wellington - the Capital.
